Let's see if it's a fit.
I don't sell. I share. A consult is 30–60 minutes, for both of us to figure out if this is the right fit. No pressure, no commitment. You choose if you engage.
What Happens
Together, first 15–20 minutes
You, your kid, and me. We cover what everyone needs to hear up front: confidentiality, fees, how I work, that I'm under supervision. I ask your kid if they want to go first; if they pass, they'll get another chance once you're out of the room. Then I ask you straight: what's going on?
Then, just your kid and me
Once it's just us, I ask if there's anything more they want to share now that you're not in the room, and I tell them a bit more about me too. Then we play something, whatever's on the shelf. That's not the warm-up. That's most of what a consult actually is.
You decide
No pressure, from either of us. If it feels like something that could work, great. If it doesn't, that's okay too; this isn't a typical first meeting. That's why we ask you to take the night and talk it over instead of deciding on the spot. If we're not the right fit, tell me what you're looking for; there's a good chance I know someone who is.
You go home, talk it over. If it feels right, we're in touch in a couple days.
